johnbob7 Posted January 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Just back from our AOS cruise, and once again we chartered a day sail trip, with Highpockets, captained by Kathleen. I had been on this trip back in March of 2006, and had immediately booked for our New Years cruise stop. This time, we booked all six spots for our group, so it was like a private charter. Kathleen and her first mate Bill did a wonderful job. Went to a completely different spot than last time (she sails to where the best snorkeling will be for that day, based on weather, etc.). After a nice sail out to the beach (this one was on St. Johns) we snorkeled for almost an hour and a half. Was fabulous, saw turtles, sting rays, a shark, squid, and a lot of great fish and coral as well. Never have seen so much in one spot! Then back on the boat for an excellent lunch of grilled chicken with linguini, salad, fresh bread - it was great! Drinks are provided throughout the day as desired, just about anything you might want (we were particularly fond of Bill's "Sprauve" drink, a mix of Sprite and guava juice). After one more chance to take a dipe in the water, it was a leisurely sail back to harbor. Since we had a full group booked, Kathleen was able to get us a taxi to meet us at our dock and take us back. We were back in plenty of time. As you can tell, we had a blast on this trip, and can recommend Kathleen and Highpockets very highly. Any questions let me know. bobj
