There are others who will write a full review, but I wanted to say that the ship was all we had hoped for and more. Embarkation was smooth. We arrived at ship around 11:00 and were enjoying food by 12:30. ( they held us up a little in the terminal ). Camp Carnival was great for our 10 year old grandson and our 7 year old granddaughter. We had to make them leave at times. Lots of children on board, I heard over 700: lots of teens, too. But it never seemed as if there were that many on board. Food was pretty good. Our Inspiration dining team was Bently and Irina and they were GREAT... Cabin steward, Alberto, was the best we have ever had. ( our 8th cruise ). It was different having a woman cruise director, I am happy to see her in that position, just different. Our sudden diversion from Belize to Playa was a welcome change. More to do in Playa. We spent a great day snorkling and doing the beach thing. Disembarkion was a little slow, we finally got off the ship right before it sailed again.. No I'm kidding. It was however slower than most. All in all it was great fun and I am ready for the next one.. This time without the kids. By the way.. where were all the others who said they were coming to our little meet and greet. Lynn and her family were the only ones who showed up. I sure hope all of the rest of you didn't miss the ship!!. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Especially good news about the kids enjoying the clubs. My kids are 13, 10, & 7 and we're bringing our 13 year olds best friend--she is almost like another kid in our family. Sounds like they ought to have a great time. I'm VERY confused by your statements about Belize. Can you explain, please? You didn't get to go there? Why not? And when/how early did you find out? You ended up in Playa Del Carmen instead? We were planning the excursion to Altun Ha/River Wallace for Belize. Wondering if the change from Belize was a 1-time deal or if we may not get to go there as well. Now you've answered my question about when to get to the terminal---thanks a bunch for that! Did you drive to the port? If so, how was the parking? We've booked the EZCruise parking & I'm hoping that goes well. Also, I know 1st formal night is Monday, but was 2nd formal night Friday? Thanks again !!!! :) Happy to try to explain.. There was a transportation strike in Belize. The captain decided to skip the port to avoid nightmares with people not being able to get around. We "heard" that some people from the Inspiration got to shore and couldn't get back to the ship, but I am only spreading rumors. Hopefully, you will be able to get there. It is a tender port and that may have been part of the problem. Seas were calm, tho... We stayed at Holiday Inn and they parked our car and provided transportation to ship. Others we met parked at terminal and had no problems coming or going. I've heard EXCruise parking is great. Our second formal was Friday..Much more laid back them monday..The cruise was great...We can't wait for our next one..Sharon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have read review from cruisers saying that the 10-15 year age group were out of control running through the halls at wee hours and complaints galore from the fellow passengers. Thanks for you info! With part of my winnings I bought a Blue faced Submariner Rolex. This is a trip I will never forget (especially everytime I look at my new watch). We really didn't go to many shows. the first late show in Mikado lounge was Las Vegas style and it was good.. Kinda the same as most others though..We spent too much time in casino to enjoy the other late show. We skipped the comedian. the passenger talent show was really good. The teens were well behaved on this cruise. Not as bad as last year on the Triumph. The last night there were several sitting around in stairwells...but not being disruptive..I did notice, however, that all of the "floor indicators" in the elevators were broken out by cruise end. They were okay when we boarded, so someone had to be up to no good...All in all..not too bad..Enjoy your cruise..Keep busy and you won't notice the teens or little ones..Sharon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
