How far is the New Orleans Sheraton from the Port?

Cruising on Conquest on Halloween, and we're staying at the New Orleans Sheraton. How far is it from the port? And can you see it from the hotel? Anyone know how much the cabfare is from the hotel to the port???

The Sheraton is about twelve blocks from the port. If you have an upper room on the east side of the hotel (the side facing the Mississippi), you should be able to see the Conquest.

 

Cabs charge a flat rate of $7 per person from the downtown hotels to the port.

Thanks jgmpuma! I was wondering if I'd be able to see the ship from the hotel! I'll have to make sure I request a room close to the top on that side! It will be awesome to wake up to seeing the Conquest Sunday morning!

No guarantee. I know that you can see parts of the river, but I'm not sure if the Conquest will be visible.
