Anyone going on any of the new Queen's world cruise segments??? Phill and I are on the NYC to LA trip sailing Jan 13. Space is supposed to be selling fast so hopefully some of you out there have already booked. It would be good to have some FOD meetings during the trip. Anyone lucky enough to be booked for the whole thing???

My partner and I are signed up for the NYC to LA segment also. It will be our first time traveling with Pied Piper. And, of course, our first time on the Queen Victoria. This cruise will have so many sea days that I hope Cunard has plenty of interesting activities planned.

I have no idea about the size of the Pied Piper group. I hope it is big enough for some great private events. We have never traveled with them before and have heard mixed opinions about the job they do.

We are taking the RSVP charter of the QM2 in a few months. We are also looking forward to that.

We're hoping there is a decent sized Pied Piper group - should make things more 'fun'. On the maiden voyage of QM2 there was a large PP group and we socialised with many of them and had a ball.

Can't quite believe that RSVP have chartered QM2 for a crossing - that is going to be some trip!!!

Have done Acapulco to Barbados through the canal last year on Arcadia (QV1) so it will be interesting to do it the other way on the real QV. Can't say I am a fan of QE2 though - found her very over rated.

Not sure about the new avatar - my eyesight's not that good!!! Was expecting you in speedos at least ;)

... and your mother should be proud ;)

As you can tell I am a very shallow person - even more impressed with the speedo shot because you've got a gong around your neck !!!

Are you sure you're not coming through the Panama Canal with us :D

Cheers

You sound like me in my heyday!!!

Actually, I'm sure you are charm personified and pardoned wherever you go ;)

Is anyone else coming on this maiden transit of the Canal???

Ken ;)

PS - best we keep that speedo shot to ourselves now ;)

I would like to do this cruise but it looks pretty expensive. I geuss that I should check to see what kind of discount I can get since I am a member of the World Club. Looks like a great 17 day cruise!

Hi Hobie

prices aren't too bad ... for Cunard .... they were doing an extra 5% off for World Club when we booked, but not sure if they are still offering it. Don't think there's much left on this segment - unless Pied Piper have some space still.

Don't we have a mutual friend in Dan Tobey???

Cheers
