Majesty Oceanview Question

Has anyone been on Deck 8 oceanview? They all say obstructed view, what exactly does this mean and how obstructed is it? Anyone with info, please share.

It is the lifeboats hanging down, you can see under them, but not straight out. I believe it is the same layout as Monarch.

Also, if you do a search on webshots, for Monarch of the Seas, a few pages into the photos there are some pictures of the obstruction.

Here is a list on Monarch deck 8 cabins, that have the best view. You could compare the Monarch and Majesty deck plans and see if the cabins are the same.

We had a midships deck 8 obstructed view on Majesty and I assumed it meant some big obstacle was in my line of view. Since this was a very last minute booking I just shrugged and said Whatever- but it was fine, I could see the ocean and the landscape but if I looked up to the sky all I saw was the bottom of a lifeboat,didn't really impact my view that much.

We just got off Majesty in March and had an oceanview on deck 8. LOVED it and thought that the view was fine and our room was soooo quiet and cozy. I would say book it for sure........ you will enjoy it a ton!
