Michylicious Posted April 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2007 I just wanted to see if anyone recently went on a cruise without a passport and just provided a picture ID and Birth Certificate. I read that it's not required yet and I wanted to make sure. Thanks!

If you get sick out of the country and have to fly home the airlines will require you to have a passport to get back into the United States. That is why Carnival strongly urges passengers to carry passports.
bakercds Posted April 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2007 Thanks for posting this, I just found out today that DH's military passport is not valid for unofficial travel and we leave in four weeks!!:( We'll just have to bring his birth certificate this time and get him a civilian passport later. :)
