Holiday Doc Dance...with pierside pick-up questions

NAVY WIFE

Recommended Posts

Yesterday we received our doc's for our 8/28 cruise on the Holiday!! Yippiee!! However, my husband was not listed on the documents (just me, DS & DD). I called my TA and after talking to Carnival, he said we would have to get DH's doc's from pierside pick-up. Anyone ever done this? Any problems? Should I be worried? Also, I booked 3 cabins (Kids, parents & DH & self). I didn't receive my parents documents (& they haven't either). Since I booked for them would they receive them, or me?

Hey Navy. That sounds strange to me. Can't imagine why your DH was left off in the first place. Would be awful to have to leave him waving to y'all at the pier! It will probably be ok, since I've read of several folks who did pick up docs at the pier.....but I would question it further. (I don't know about you, but I like knowing all my ducks are in a row!)

As far as the other cabins, hmmm. Last cruise (on the Holiday), I booked the cruise for myself (solo), and later a friend wanted to go, so I booked a separate cabin for her. I received both my docs and hers, altho a few days apart.

I really think you should get your TA actively involved in getting some solid answers for you. Not that far away, so do it now. Good luck. .....and happy sailing on the Holiday!:)

Thanks Cotton! I will call my TA tomorrow right after the mail runs. Hopefully the missing doc's will be there. I'll question him again about DH name not being listed. The only thing that I can come up with is that they both have the same name (Jr & Sr). Maybe that threw them off!?!

Well, yes that could be it, BUT you still have only three tickets for four of you! ;)

This interests me, so could you post when you find out for sure? Thx. Hope all turns out perfectly for y'all.

Well, Carnival really didn't have an explanation, but they assured me his documents would be available for pick-up at the pier. As for my parents doc's, Carnival said that their doc's were mailed out a few days after mine. I'll wait a few more days and see if they show up.

I'm probably a little off the top on this, but I'd ask for a confirmation in writing that your DH has a paid ticket for that cruise....just in case there are no docs at the pier. Just call me overly cautious.;)
