No apology needed.... just more info :)

I don't have a clue why some ships stop here so late.... evening hours only - it is a waste in my opinion..... we explored old San Juan for 3 days precruise and loved loved loved it !!!!

My suggestion would be to arrange a tour.... since the forts close at 5 pm (thats cutting it close) as well as some stores ~ that pretty much leaves eating, drinking or the casinos on your own. You can do a walking tour on your own but not sure when you are going and what time it would begin to get dark..... we walked all over even in the dark and never felt unsafe but a tour with a guide would be better in the dusk or dark (imo).

There are some really good ones.....pretty sure I can't name em' but if you do a search they will come up.... or try some of the other links in other posts...... like www.langland.org/cruises/sanjuan.asp . This site was put together by another CC'er and full of info.

Keep reading..... there is so much info here if you just keep reading :D
