NeptunesGoddess Posted August 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Just returned from the Inspiration on Sunday and here is my review. It is too long to post here and I had no idea where to edit it, so here is the link to my site so you can read it. http://www.freewebs.com/2hearts/inspirationreview.htm Note: Pay no attention to the "An Error has occurred" ad at the top of the page. It makes me mad that that is an ad because people think they have not come to the right page.
Dannzzigg Posted August 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Great review! I'm leaving on the Inspiration 8/29, so it helps to have as much info as possible. A few questions, if you don't mind... 1. Where did you get that great pic of the Inspiration all lit up at night? 2. How was the Karaoke crowd (rowdy and fun? quiet and sedate?) What type of music was available? 3. What did it cost to rent the golf cart at Costa Maya? Glad you had a great time. I'm counting the days till I do the same! NeptunesGoddess Posted August 13, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Danzig, You are going to have a fun time! The pic of the ship at night was done at Cozumel. I don't know if you will be docking at the same pier we did (there are two), but I took this pic from the road that you walk along to get to the pier. We were on our way back from Carlos and Charlie's and I put the camera up on the wall and didn't use a flash. I loved the result. The Karaoke crowd was a blast! They were really friendly and only got rowdy when a song called for rowdiness..if ya know what I mean. Marcus, the social host who ran Karaoke most of the nights, said that this group was the most fun he has had on the ship in 5 months and he said that he knows we think he says that every week, but he said it was really true. Downside....They have an AWFUL selection and alot of their discs skip...so if you have your own discs BRING THEM...we are soo glad we did. We even let other people use them. If you see Marcus tell him the Family (Greg, Kim and he will remember Sami) that was in the talent show from Cali, says hi!!! :D They rent the golf cart by the hour and I think it was 45 bucks an hour. Two hours is all you need to toodle around Mahahual. There is a little wait for the golf carts, but it is worth it. They have a really mixed up Taxi situation where you have to take a bus into Mahahual and can only taxi back. It was so nice to have our own Transportation. cruisemates2 Posted August 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Thank you for a great review of the Inspiration and the ports you visited. We have never been on the Inspiration, but, plan to some day. I have heard great things about her. We will be on the Miracle in November, going to these same ports and now I am more excited than ever to see Costa Maya. I have read a lot of reviews about it and I think we will enjoy it very much. We are planning on doing the same excursions you talked about at each port except for Belize. We have small children in the group, so, we may just do a beach excursion. Thank you very much for taking the time to post. I really enjoyed reading it.

Pretty interesting website also. :) Living in Valencia now, but used to live in the high desert just west of you in Apple Valley (Lancaster). So glad you enjoyed your cruise. :) Actually we don't live in Apple Valley but that is where our weekly gig is. We have been playing there for 11 years now...so it is like a home away from home for us. We live in Redlands, which is nestled between Riverside and San Bernardino on the 10 freeway.:) Glad you enjoyed the review.
