cmyers Posted August 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I'm not to familiar with all the other cruise message boards out their besides this one and cruise mates. Does anyone know of any other web sites to browse ?
jazzsea Posted August 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I log in to the Yahoo Cruise Boards. The Holland America board on Yahoo is not too great. Not many people post on it any more.
debblue Posted August 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2004 i cehck out cruises critic of course, cruisemates.com, cruiseaddicts.com,krooz-cams.com they all are great and you meet a lot of nice cruise people.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2004 :) Check in with cruise addicts, Ocean & Cruise news (not much goes on there) and kroooz-cams. :)
Orcrone Posted August 13, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I check out cruise addicts. Most of the posting there occurs in their community message board. Not nearly as much activity on their HAL board. However, the roll call for my October cruise is pretty anemic here. However, on C@ there are over 200 posts. jhannah Posted August 13, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Also, don't forget the ports of call section here on Cruise Critic. If you're anticipating booking a cruise or already have it locked it, there is a wealth of information there about the ports, excursions, side attractions, etc.
sail7seas Posted August 13, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I occassionally go to Cruisemates and read/post from time to time. I do not always use sail7seas....sometimes Jkm7. There was a post here a few weeks ago by a person who felt it absolutely necessary to announce that fact. For that person's information, I have used that name from the very first day I ever logged onto webtv prior to my having a computer. In an effort to think they were so clever (and unpleasant), they failed to even think it would come as no surprise to folks who have hung around here (and there) a long time. Many KNOW IT. It just happens to be still "enrolled" on that board ......so, your party fell flat.
elmorejj Posted August 13, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I use C@, cruisemates, cruise2, and a couple of travel boards pertaining to Maxico and the Virgin Islands, both of where we spend land vacations. CC is the one I come to most often....jean  PS I used to look at Fodors, but I posted once there and rec`d a slap in the face from posters there, so I kicked that site to the curb!! ekerr19 Posted August 13, 2004 #9 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I hang out on the CC board for Carnival sometimes too. Many funny and interesting tales. I must say, there have been times when I've seen it get a bit heated

tomc Posted August 13, 2004 #12 Share Posted August 13, 2004 CC HAL, CC Ask A Cruise Question, C@ general board. C@ is definitely friendlier than here. When our resident "Exactly what did you mean by that?" comes on a thread, I just leave and don't even bother to lurk. Ditto with anyone looking for a fight. Life's too short. Aussie Gal Posted August 14, 2004 #14 Share Posted August 14, 2004 I am most frequently on the HAL, Princess and Port Board of C.C. especially Europe, Australia and South America. I also post to cruisemates and c@. I agree with Tom that the c@ general board is a very happy place to post. I also find Princes on C.C. not as nasty as this board can become at times. I don't understand why people behave in such a way. We all love cruising, so surely we have that much in common with each other. Life is too short for that kind of anti social behaviour. Jennie. susiep Posted August 14, 2004 #15 Share Posted August 14, 2004 Is c@ a web site or an abbreviation for cruiseaddict?  Thanks

tomc Posted August 14, 2004 #18 Share Posted August 14, 2004 When I first got online, I belonged to several cruise boards (maybe 6), but then had to narrow them down, as I did my other interest boards. My only active cruise boards now are CC and C@ -- CC for information and C@ for hanging out. I'd like to participate in more, as each board has its own particular flavor, but I haven't got the time. sail7seas Posted August 15, 2004 #20 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Does anyone remember the Wheelhouse web site and BB? When I first came on line, I used to enjoy reading that BB.
tomc Posted August 15, 2004 #21 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Was that the place with the classic anti-HAL review? There was one site with a HAL review so picky and so negative that I used to send people there when they needed a laugh.
RuthC Posted August 15, 2004 #22 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Just this board and a daily quick visit to WOCLS. Just how much goof-off time do you folks think I can get at work? (shush! please don't tell my boss.;) )

RuthC Posted August 15, 2004 #24 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Tomc, your edits on your posts are too funny, thats two I`ve caught on this thread...do you all read the small print?..jean :cool:Yup. Noticed he started that as soon as the new boards set him up for one-liners. Now I read everybody's edit just in case imitators/flatterers are out there. Catnip Posted August 16, 2004 #25 Share Posted August 16, 2004 I frequent CruiseMates and found a new cruise site called CruiseBuggie. It's not very big yet, but the posters there are so friendly & welcoming. Also, the censorship is not as strict over there!
