What Other Message Boards Do You Read?

I check out cruise addicts. Most of the posting there occurs in their community message board. Not nearly as much activity on their HAL board.

However, the roll call for my October cruise is pretty anemic here. However, on C@ there are over 200 posts.

Also, don't forget the ports of call section here on Cruise Critic. If you're anticipating booking a cruise or already have it locked it, there is a wealth of information there about the ports, excursions, side attractions, etc.

I occassionally go to Cruisemates and read/post from time to time. I do not always use sail7seas....sometimes Jkm7. There was a post here a few weeks ago by a person who felt it absolutely necessary to announce that fact.

For that person's information, I have used that name from the very first day I ever logged onto webtv prior to my having a computer. In an effort to think they were so clever (and unpleasant), they failed to even think it would come as no surprise to folks who have hung around here (and there) a long time. Many KNOW IT.

It just happens to be still "enrolled" on that board ......so, your party fell flat.

I use C@, cruisemates, cruise2, and a couple of travel boards pertaining to Maxico and the Virgin Islands, both of where we spend land vacations. CC is the one I come to most often....jean

PS I used to look at Fodors, but I posted once there and rec`d a slap in the face from posters there, so I kicked that site to the curb!!

Cruise2 and cruisemates have been around for a long time. I remember them pre cruise-addicts - late 1990's.

I hang out on the CC board for Carnival sometimes too. Many funny and interesting tales. I must say, there have been times when I've seen it get a bit heated

Have also seen fireworks here!!! ...... and it isn't even the 4th of July!

CC HAL, CC Ask A Cruise Question, C@ general board. C@ is definitely friendlier than here. When our resident "Exactly what did you mean by that?" comes on a thread, I just leave and don't even bother to lurk. Ditto with anyone looking for a fight. Life's too short.

I am most frequently on the HAL, Princess and Port Board of C.C. especially Europe, Australia and South America. I also post to cruisemates and c@. I agree with Tom that the c@ general board is a very happy place to post. I also find Princes on C.C. not as nasty as this board can become at times.

I don't understand why people behave in such a way. We all love cruising, so surely we have that much in common with each other. Life is too short for that kind of anti social behaviour.

When I first got online, I belonged to several cruise boards (maybe 6), but then had to narrow them down, as I did my other interest boards. My only active cruise boards now are CC and C@ -- CC for information and C@ for hanging out. I'd like to participate in more, as each board has its own particular flavor, but I haven't got the time.

Tomc, your edits on your posts are too funny, thats two I`ve caught on this thread...do you all read the small print?..jean
Yup. Noticed he started that as soon as the new boards set him up for one-liners.

Now I read everybody's edit just in case imitators/flatterers are out there.
