upgrade--Is it a ho ho??

I love the Princess line--getting ready for my 14th cruise on the Dawn on Oct 4 and getting ready to book another. Booked newly weds (son and spouse) who are new cruisers on this one. Have hoped for an upgrade since it is not a great time to cruise--have cruised on the Sun and know I will like the dawn but say a little something for me towards an upgrade to a mini.

We have 13 Princess cruises completed - two open bookings - We have been upgraded only once, on our 2nd or 3rd cruise - We had a self-upgrade on the Baltic Cruise last year - after final payment on an inside cabin they were offering balconies at the same price we paid - It took several phone calls to Princess and our TA, but they finally gave us a balcony.

One never knows as the upgrade fairy can be fickle at times:D
