Per Person Taxi Rates with Kids

We will be coming in on the Carnival Liberty an plan on going to Coki Beach/Coral World. It looks like the per person taxi rates are 9-10 each way (80 round trip for a family of 4). Do you know if kids pay the 8-10 rate as well?

 

It seems that the open air taxis/busses may be cheaper but is there a lot of walking?

Same per person rate for adults and children.

 

Distance from main road, where public transportation would drop you, to Coki/Coral World is a little over half a mile walk. The area you walk through is a bit run down.

Does the taxi's charge the same rates for infants? DH/I are cruising to St. Thomas in December and we're thinking of taking a taxi to Megan's Bay. We're trying to adopt a baby so not sure if we'll have our addition to the family with us at that time.. if so... I'm curious to know if the taxi's will charge for an infant as well. What's the cost from Havensight to Megan's Bay per person?

If they take a seat then I would think only fair they pay the per person rate. Kids are expensive.

Havensight to Magens Bay is $8 per person, one way.

 

There is no specified discounted rate for infants in the taxi rates and provisions that taxis follow. So yes if a baby is in a seat or in a car seat then the fare applies to them also. You can ask if there is a discounted rate, some drivers may do this but as mentioned its not standard. All the best.
