watercruise Posted August 12, 2007 #26 Share Posted August 12, 2007 did any of you do a private tour in kotor or know of any private guides? thanks
Rare marazul Posted August 14, 2007 #27 Share Posted August 14, 2007 A couple on our cruise did. I'm not sure, but I think they hired a taxi at the port. If you want a private guide so you can go to St Stefan you might be disappointed. The whole island-hotel was closed for renovations. They were able to go up the causeway, but not go inside. You'd better check, I have no idea when it will open again. By the way, the Budva and Kotor excursion was very good.
Rare marazul Posted August 25, 2007 #28 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Fellow SB sailors, I hope you update your experiences with tours, etc, when you return. These are relatively new ports and things may change from one sailing to another. I would love to hear and compare your experience to mine and others. It is important for new cruisers to compare SB tours to other cruise lines. As you may find out from looking at other port CC boards, there is rampant paranoia about getting robbed, etc. This is not the SB experience. Let us know which ports and tours you liked, which you would do on your own next time, restaurants or places you enjoyed, etc. Suggestions, places to go. . . All faithful SB cruisers will benefit from your comments. Thanks.
