Just curious..what's the standard tip for room service?

Also, do you tip your room steward every time he brings you something you ask for (extra pillow, postcard, pen, etc...) or do you tip him all at once at the end of the trip?

 

Do you tip the tender driver? Do you tip the bus driver that drives you from the ship to the entrance of the port (like in Mazatlan?)? How much would you tip them?

No to all aked questions - you should tip room service - A minimum of $2?????

Room service only, I usually tip $2 unless it is a LOT of food, then more.

I agree. I always tip a minimum of $2.00 for room service...sometimes more. I also pre-tip my cabin steward at least $10 - 20.00 cash up front for expected services like pillows, ice, more hangers, etc., and then tip in full on the last day. Don't tip tender drivers, but do tip bus drivers $1 - 2.00. Just my thing, though.

We tip'd our room steward and numerous room service staff $5-$10 whenever a special request was fulfilled or food delivered.

At the end of the cruise, we gave our room steward ($100) and two traditional seating dinning room attendants ($50 & $20) "a little something extra" on the last evening. This is in addition to auto tip. We know that tips are an important portion of their income. We never hesitate to ask for extra services and in turn, leave a good tip. Just like in a hotel, if you want the best service for the duration, start tipping right away. Why wait till the end of your stay to leave your one and only tip.
