crusinmama06 Posted September 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2007 Free :) Now there are coffee bars on the ships as well, those you have to pay for. But in the DR they are free.

crusinmama06 Posted September 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2007 One of Cotton's favorite Carnival perks!!! Yep exactly. That's how I first learned they were free. By watching Cotton rave about them. :)
caribbean dreams Posted September 8, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2007 Even if they're not on the Menu the evening you want one, just let the waiter know, they will be glad to get you a cup.
e150club Posted September 8, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2007 In 04 we paid for expresso in 07 it was free and our assistant waiter brought it to us every night without us asking. The sambuca was six bucks a shot. I used suger most nights. Not because of the price but one shot is enough for four cups and i'm the only one who likes it in my expresso. birdie16 Posted September 8, 2007 #12 Share Posted September 8, 2007 My first cruise on the Elation we ordered it with every meal! It was free...then I took the Galley Tour and saw how far our poor waiter had to go and how much trouble it was for him...then I quit ordering it. Now on the new ships the coffee machine is right in the dining room so I am back to ordering it again!
Chan_T Posted September 8, 2007 #13 Share Posted September 8, 2007 How is the cappuccino in the dining room? I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I may have a (regular) cup in the morning and possibly (a cappuccino) after dinner. My in-laws tend to drink coffee on a regular basis, so they will likely have coffee after dinner each night.

yogimax Posted September 8, 2007 #15 Share Posted September 8, 2007 How is the cappuccino in the dining room? Not bad - go for it! The waiter on our last cruise insisted on bringing "decaf espesso" at night. It was pretty horrible, and possibly an oxymoron as well:)

Maybe I'll get a cappuccino...and a shot of Bailey's to go with it...that should balance it out nicely. :D :p

huxlemo Posted September 8, 2007 #21 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I am usually a regular coffee drinker. On our first night at dinner on the last cruise, I ordered a cappuccino. It is really good and frothy. Our waiter had it ready for me every night after that during dessert. Make sure to try it. :D

e150club Posted September 8, 2007 #23 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I'm not fond of cakes and pies or sweet deserts. I had my double expresso w/ one scoop of orange or lime sherbert and one scoop of vinella ice cream that was an intermenzo for the midnight snack. yum yum. suziehmkr Posted September 9, 2007 #24 Share Posted September 9, 2007 Does this also include latte's & mocha's? Or would I need to go to the coffee bar for those after dinner?
