We've arranged for the purple cabana sans butler, so this doesn't affect us; I'm just curious (curious yellow ... lol!!). I was on the HAL site looking at the different things available for HMC and noticed that they say the Butler pkg. is NOT available for the Yellow Cabana. Anyone know why?????????

Don't they usually use a golf cart to transport people to the furtherest cabanas?

If so, that could be why no butler service. He wouldn't be able to use the golf cart to run errans for the people.

But - then - how does the boy who services the cabanas get around? You know - the one who is assigned to work 3 cabanas and get your food etc.??

The golf cart or "gator" is used to transport people to the cabanas in the far end of the beach. They are also used to transport supplies to the right places to so are quite busy at times. The cabana boys use their two feet to fetch your food and drinks and just keep circulating from cabana to cabana...there are usually two or three of them doing this. :)

That makes no sence, we had the green cabana in July with a butler and the yellow caban next to us also had the Butler. So I am not sure whats up with that....maybe a typo???

The Butler service is wonderful, they take you to the cabana get you set up. But the day or two before HMC the food and beverage manager will come by your cabin and sit with you and sicuss the food you would liek to have while in the Cabana, we decided on lobster rolls; filet mignon, three desserts and beer and champagne. It was a wonderful day. It also comes with all of the gear for the day. Your butler is there for anything you may want, our even brought the drinks out to us in the water :) It was a great way to end our cruise...

Hope that answered the question :)

WOW - That sounds so nice.

I do have one more questions though. How many people does a Cabana accomodate? Our next cruise might be just the 2 of us, but usually there are 5 family members travelling together.

Thanks again for your wonderful description.
