Grandeur 8/29 Royal Suite Review Part 2

The ship was lovely even though it was a bit worn. Problem #1.. way too many people on this ship, the pool was more crowded than a NYC subway at rush hour. We did not spend any tome there at all. #2 Children running around like maniacs - no parental supervision and no manners at all!! They were all over the place at all hours. I had both my children with me (ages 10 and 13 years) and they both know manners never take a vacation!! I wish other parents would adhere to that simple rule. Problem #3 Windjammer cafe, it was like feeding time at the farm - so crowded and poorly laid out you had to worm your way through and pray for a table. We ended up taking most of our meals back to the suite or just ordering room service. The food itself was fair. Breakfasts ok but it was the same food day after day. No variety at all. Lunch was pretty awful - standard cheap buffet fare again virtually the same offerings every day. Dinner in the Great Gatsby was very nice - some things very good others standard banquet quality. The dress code appeared to be anything goes from t-shirts, shorts and baseball caps to nice pants and jackets. My last cruise was mostly Europeans and they all seemed to dress a bit neater. We did eat in there 5 of the 7 evenings. Will some up this liong review in part 3.
