CaribbeanBound Posted September 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2004 Questions about Horizon Suite (HS) on Horizon Curious if the Horizon Suites (category HS, not the "Celebrity Suites") on the Atlantic Deck have been upgraded at all. Can anyone comment on the cabin and bathroom decor? Do they receive all the same amenities as CC cabins (not counting the butler, priority embark and debark, priority tendering, and maybe a party)? Is there such a thing as a one HS cabin being better than another for any particular reason? Thank you
newtocc Posted September 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2004 The suites on Horizon taste about the same as any of the other suites on the other Celebrity ships, except for the white chocolate, that wasn't quite as suite! Hope this helps!

MSBYRDY Posted September 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2004 We were in one a couple of yrs ago, maybe someone who's been in them more recently could answer better. They are considerably smaller than suites on other ships, due to the age and size of the ship. They had not been updated at that time. We got all the suite benefits, with the butler, not CC benefits. I doubt that you could have any sort of party in them, due to the size. Even having breakfast in them was difficult as it was merely a cocktail table between 2 chairs and it didn't raise like others do. Hope this helps a bit, but as I said, maybe someone who's been on Horizon lately could give more accurate information. Marilyn
ABSCruiseLuvers Posted September 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2004 They hardly deserve the moniker “suite”, they are simply a larger cabin. At 270 sq ft it is about the same size as a FV on the M class ships but laid out more like a sky suite on M class. Great to have the extra room for sure but not really any more room than a small hotel room would offer.

CaribbeanBound Posted September 28, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted September 28, 2004 How from about anyone who has recently sailed on Horizon?
Helen Posted September 28, 2004 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Recently returned on Horizon and will agree the rooms are not very big. There were 4 (yes 4) in our room, 3 sisters and a neice so we were very tight at times. The bathrooms are bigger than what I am used to on a cruise so that was a plus. Marble tubs and counters but not a lot of storage in there. We had the butler remove the chairs for extra room and empty the mini bar so we could use it for our own juice, etc. The sofa was plenty enough seating area along with the beds during the day. Drawer space was abundant as well as closet and just asked for extra hangers. All in all it was fine and we loved the crew on the Horizon.
Danno Posted September 28, 2004 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2004 They are nice cabins...but just simply consider them "large cabins". X was nice enough to upgrade me last cruise and aside from the extra room the best point was the butler...Carl was great and the service, if you use these services as they were intended, was outstanding. Would it be worth the extra money...yes and/or no...it depends on what you value in the cruise experience.
