I was in bermuda about 7 years ago, but did not crusie there. I rented a moped and had a great time. This time I am cruising there, and we will be in 3 ports. We want to rent mopeds but Im curious about safety in terms of parking the bike at night. Also what are the rates now? Ive seen oleander and wheels site but not sure how up-to-date the rates posted there were. Anyone know if it is okay to stay on land while your cruise ship travels to the next port, and catch up with your ship later that day? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I can't remember the rates for the scooters. We had a two person and one person scooter. Parking is no problem at night. There are lots adjacent to where the ships tie up. The steering columns have locks on them also.

There is no problem leaving your ship in the morning and catching up with it later in the day at its new dock instead of riding it there. Many people do that so they don't loose a day of sightseeing on the island. When we were on Horizon our CD said just make sure you are back on the ship before we leave for New York. You can come and go as you please while the ship moves around Bermuda.
