MeBob Posted September 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2004 Here's part of a Tuscany review. I sure will try eating there. Lunch time pizzas are standard at $10.50 each, or for diners hankering after something more substantial there are fish specials (from $ 16.75) or a grilled chicken breast ($13.25). Both the lunch and dinner menus feature a list of specials, a separate menu that changes from time to time reflecting customers’ preferences. Items worth trying are the fan of duck breast with avocado, Parmesan and chicory ($11.75) or the involtini di verdure croccanti, parcels of vegetables deep-fried and served with a honey mustard sauce ($9.75), both appetizers. For the entrees the seafood ravioli, made on premises, served in a light tomato sauce with shiitake mushrooms is very good ($16.75) though an interesting wild boar stew ($24.75) is not as robust as it might otherwise be. On the regular dinner menu one can choose from a comprehensive, though not baffling selection of pasta, antipasti, pizza or grilled fish and meats. All the pasta dishes are priced at under $15, except the linguine with seafood ($15.75), or select your favorite pizza, all priced at $11.25 which is a bargain for dinner on Front Street with service at this level. My favorite way to begin an evening meal here is to order the antipasto ($9.75) of dried meats –Parma, caprese, carpaccio and shrimp with parmesan- and nibble away with the olives and walnut bread. Entrees of fish, chicken or beef are all priced around $20, each well garnished and finished off in the kitchen with competence.
