Just home from Navigator and hurricane Francis!

Welcome back! Another 50 days before we set sail on the Navigator!

So how was the cabin? Which one did you have? How was the food, service, passenger mix? How was your intinerary changed and how did it affect the passengers?

One more thing. DH loves his sports. Where can he go for his football fix? Thanks!

Glad to hear you made it through the storm. I assume you were on the Eastern Caribbean?

I have a few specific questions regarding the Compasses. Did you save them? If so, could you answer/correct the following? My questions were drafted from old (2002) Western Caribbean Compasses, so they may be way off -

Did the Spa open at Noon on Saturday for Reservations?

Was the Dinning room open for seating adjustments from 1:00~3:45?

Was the "Caribbean" theme night in the dinning room on Day 4 (Tuesday)?

Was the Love & Marriage Show also on Day 4 at 10:30 pm?

Other questions -

Did you particularly enjoy any one bar over the others?

If so, did you have a favorite bartender?

Does the Metropolis Theatre have two bars (one port & one starboard) or more?

Final question - have you booked your next cruise yet? :)

Thanks a lot!!!!

Tim

Our cabin was 7354 a D1 ...very spacious, even though we had 3 girls. :) Drawer space was lacking, but we managed. Plenty of hangers and shelves in the closet. The location was OK, never really felt any motion of the ocean.

Food and service was great, no compalints. Even with our extended cruise we didn't run out of food that I was aware of, I think milk might of been as issue, but I don't use it.

Our itinerary changed with cancellation of Naussa and Labadee. We had Antiquia and St. Thomas as ports. Then we were extended 2 more days at sea....no problem. A few passengers were upset and ready to get off...we were very well taken care of and the crew was awesome. They did jsut about anything to please us. I ended up needing more medication and went to medical. I saw the doctor and got what meds I needed all at no charge!

I think football can be seen at the "19th Hole", the sports court bar.

You'll love the Naviagtor it is just awesome.......I'd go again tomorrow!

Yes, we were Eastern Caribbean. Sorry I did not save the compasses.

Our Caribean nightand formals were switched due to port changes, so nothing was as scheduled. But everything turned out great!

The spa did take reservations from noon Saturday, both in the Promanade and in the spa.....my sister booked in the promonade, then they called and said that time slot was taken, so I think they were running 2 sets of bookings and were over booking some time slots...but just a guess on that.

We found the Balaro's bar on deck 4 to be very friendly! Adrian is a real ententainer with his tricks, jokes and juggling of the licqour bottles as he is mixing drinks. The music was sometimes too loud for and it got smokey, but we always ended up there over any other bar.

as far as I know they did do DR adjustments but can't confirm that. I sas people lined up at a table outside the Swan Lake deck 5. Our talbe was in swan Lake at the window....NO COMPLAINTS! :)

I really don't remember the day of the Love and Marriage show...it was the talk of the ship....the best they ever had! I missed it so I can't elabroate on it. :(

The Metroplis had bars????.....funny I just used the bar servers for my diet cokes! :D I'm a non drinker due to allergies and medications.

Hope I answered most of your questions........we had a ball!!!!!!

The Love and Marriage Show was absolutely the funniest I have seen in five cruises!

Overall outstanding cruise, sure some of the little things that have been discussed on this board were still prevelant, however, room always done well and on time, food good (Majesty in April had better meats), crew went out of their way to meet our needs, CD Becky was wonderful, a true talent despite many adverse opinions stated here, tremendous number of formal dressers onboard (yes, along with a few jean and short wearers, but didn't take away from our enjoyement) and less emphasis on pushing drinks. There was strong enforcement of children in the solarium, daily kids were asked to leave the area, and saw the deck patrol many times removing unattended towels from unoccupied chairs. Chairs in the solarium were plentiful until 10:00 AM most sea days (and we had many of those!). Singers and Dancers were very talented!

Overall a great cruise and have booked two additional RC cruises for next year including the same week in August for Navigator again!

I also just returned from Navigator - Hullo Luv!! :D And yes! I'm doing it with a smile! Boleros always seemed crowed, lots of good dancers! But I only passed it on my way to the casino. Never saw so many jackpots being won! Just wish one of them could have been me..... Loved our waiter, ass't waiter and stewardess. Loooooooved our cabin and balcony (1688). Was so sad this morning with noone to bring me coffee and doughnuts to enjoy on the balcony as the sun rose over the ocean.....'course I don't have a balcony or ocean view anymore........ Booked the 2 week repo criuse on Grandeur while onboard. Navigator is definitely a wonderful ship!!!!

Hi again, fellow Phoenix cruise lover! I am glad to hear you had a great time on the Navigator. I had the pleasure of meeting Adrian in Bolero's in January...what a fun bartender! In January he also had the wonderful Manny with him...was Manny still there?
