Smokin On The Ship

OK. Lets get this out of the way first. I smoke, I love to smoke, I,ve smoked forever, and I know all the dangers. I do not smoke inside anywhere,and am cautious where my smoke goes so no lectures please. That being said what decks and sides of NCL ships is smoking allowed?

Per NCL's FAQ:

 

We want you to be comfortable on board, so public areas throughout all NCL ships are smoke free. If you smoke cigarettes, you can do so in your stateroom, on your balcony, in the casino or Cigar Bar (where available). If you prefer pipes or cigars, you can smoke in the Cigar Bar or designated smoking lounge. Also, you can smoke cigarettes, pipes and cigars outside on open decks (just not around food venues, sport decks, kids' pool areas and other designated non-smoking areas).

 

Note: On open decks, neither side of the ship is designated smoking or non-smoking fleet wide.

Which areas are designated as non-smoking varies per ship.

When I was on the Dawn last year, they designated the port side of the pool deck for smoking. You will know because you will see ashtrays out on that side. Just follow you nose LOL, you will know:D

Agreed. They are not consistent from ship to ship so I just keep an eye out for the ashtrays - even for someone as simple minded as I am, I can figure out where I can smoke.....
