Storm Damage in Samana?

We understand that Samana/Domincan Republic sustained some damage from the last tropical storm that pushed through recently. Has anyone been on the island since then that could give us a report? We're due to stop there in a few weeks and are hopeful that they were spared any major damage.

I emailed the tour company we are booked with for December 25th and received a reply that all is well in Samana. Yes, there had been a couple of cruise ships recently who did not stop in Samana due to the recent storms, but everything is a go now and the ships are indeed back on schedule. He also reported "the weather has been great!" So, keep your fingers crossed!

Reports that I have gotten seem to indicate that the problem with the stop has not been on land but with the swells that have hindered anchoring and tendering.

We are on the NCL Dawn on Jan 13 sailing. What is fun thing to do for 4 sisters out for fun, relaxing things to do for this stop?

would you and your 3 sisters like to know about a topless beach with beachside massages? my husband and i loved it.

My wife & I will be there in early March & would like to know about the topless beach, how to get there etc.

Also, any info on a good snorkeling trip, & or an island tour would be appreciated.
