spirit kids club/pool questions

I have searched the boards and the NCL website and haven't been able to find answers to the following....

1) Does the kids club close at 10pm every night or do they have extended hours some nights? Does this cost extra?

2)Does the 10pm close time allow you to attend most shows before you have to go collect the kids? Our plan on some nights is to feed the kids at the buffet, drop them off at 7pm, grab dinner and a show, then collect them at 10pm. Will this work?

3) Our kids will be 3, 7, and 9. I know they are divided by age, but will they be able to play together in the ball pit, tunnels, etc...or does each age group take turns with that stuff?

4) Is there a height/age minimum for the pool and slide like on some ships?

Thanks for your help!

The regular Kids Club (organized activities divided by age) closes at 10:00 p.m.. From 10:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., they have "Group Babysitting" with a per child, per hour fee. You must sign up ahead of time for that.

It is doubtful that you can do both the show and the dinner in the time alloted unless you take advantage of the group babysitting. Show times are 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and the shows are about 45 minutes to an hour in length. Therefore, the 9:30 show is out since pick-up time is 10:00.

You might be able to go to the 7:30 p.m. show then eat dinner at 8:30 or 8:45 p.m., but that might be cutting it close since dinner is usually a 90 minute affair.....

We always went to dinner together as a family when the restaurants opened at 5:30 p.m.. Then we took our daughter to Kids Club at 7:00 and went to the 7:30 p.m. show. We then had from 8:30-10:00 to wander around the ship and do other things (casino, lounges, etc.). The dinning room food is so much better than the buffet and I love the fact that it allows our daughter to try new foods. (without it costing more!)

I can't answer the questions about the Spirit Pools since I have never been on that particular ship. But kids must be potty trained to use the pools (probably not a problem for you seeing the ages of your children.)

Finally, Kids Club is divided by age. The groups have organized activities and take turns with the items you describe. My daughter has always loved Kids Club and the activities and themes. I will add that NCL is VERY strict on their age groupings and do not allow kids to move age groups.

The Group Babysitting is not organized activities and the kids will be together for that time.

We were on the Spirit a few weeks ago. The kids club ages are 3-5, 6-9, 10-12, and 13-17. A couple of nights, we were a little late picking up our 8 yo dd. I did call to see if it was ok that she stay a little longer, and there was never any problem with not making advance reservations, although we did make a reservation for New Year's Eve and the special kids dinner night. One of the nights we didn't go to dinner until after 9, and I called the kids club to see if there was room to leave her for 30 minutes or so after the 10pm pickup. They were so nice, no problem at all with it, and when we went to pick her up at 10:30, they didn't charge us. By then, though, they knew our dd pretty well, she loved going and counted down the minutes until she could go again. She loved the staff and even got to participate in the Jr. Cruise Director, which was a blast for both her and her 12 yo brother.
