ukfans1 Posted September 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2004 Well, we did make it to our ship and we had wonderful weather. Seas were quite calm but we did miss Coco Cay, We really enjoyed it there the last time. We did see some damage and a bit of rough water while snorkling in Nassau. The following am we were told that we turned around at 3am to help a mayday heard by a tug boat. Took 1 hr to get to them and the tug sank, but we rescured 6 workers off the barge. Had I known what was going on, we would have stayed awake as we had just went to bed. Key West was an absolute blast! Our group is proud to say that we hit 10 bars there yesterday! Needless to say, we did not make dinner in the dining room last night. We were off the ship by 7:30 and were able to get an earlier flight out at 10:30. Any questions, let me know. sl0905 Posted September 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2004 Just wondering what kind of condition the Majesty is in. I'm still trying to decide between the Majesty or the newly renovated Sovereign in April of 2005. I would like to try the Majesty as it stops at Key West, and if we miss Coco Cay due to high winds on the Sovereign we would only have one port and that would be Nassau. But I would like to see what they do to the Sovereign as we sailed on her last year. Any info would be appreciated.
ukfans1 Posted September 19, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2004 We sailed on the Sovereign in Dec of last year. To be perfectly honest, there was little differences between the two. The wait staff in the dining room did seem to be much slower on the Majesty, but still accomodating. We wanted to go to Key West, so it was well worth it. We missed Coco Cay, but we were just happy to be going.
