El Cid or Playa Mia

Going on carnival fantasy in June. Which beach would u recommend. One person is in wheelchair. Would prefer a place where the walk to the beach water is not too far away from the table/chairs. Would reallly appreciate the help/suggestions

We cruised Princess in March 06 and taxi-ied to Playa Mia for the day. Check out their website--- www.playamia.com for park details. We enjoyed it, but the water is not real close to the paved area. I'm thinking your wheel chair person here. And the restrooms are in the paved area.

 

Last June we cruised Conquest and taxi-ied to Chankanaab Park. We are doing this trip again this March. Check out www.cozumelparks.com for info on this park.

 

Don't know anything about El Cid. Hope this helps.

Haven't been to El Cid, but have Playa Mia. Playa Mia gets REALLY crowded when the huge party boat arrives, but the beach is nice. The paved area is pretty close to the water, too. Food is not very good, but after a few drinks, we didn't really care. :)
