Cabin Decorations

I was thinking of purchasing the decorations package to surprise my DH for our anniversary. Has anyone ever done that? Is it worth the $30?

My husband surprised me with a decorated cabin for my birthday and it was very pretty, but in such a small space you can only stand to have the decorations up for that day. I would rather have spent the $30 in port or at the casino. He also had flowers delivered, and they were pretty too, except i couldn't take them home and they got in the way too.

 

have someone decorate your house while you are gone to be surprised once you return. or you could bring some decorations of your own and put them up.

I agree, I did this for Ms. Flagger for our 10th anniversary. They just got in the way, would fall off the walls, etc. After the first day they were gone, though the "Special Occasion" stayed on our stateroom door the entire cruise.

I ordered them for our cruise last month, thought my mother would get a kick out of them. But I don't think they were worth 30.00. Even with the little cake that comes with them. Here's a link to my pictures, there are aa couple of the cabin and you can see the decorations.

Thanks - I'm glad I asked! From the pics it doesn't seem worth it. Like girlzilla said, I could probably find a better way to spend the $ plus I don't want to be ducking and rehanging the whole time. Nice pics emerald777 :)

I bought it for my parents when I sent them on the Majesty last May for their anniversary. They had the cabin decorations, a 'happy anniversary' cake, canapes, photo coupon with picture frame, champagne, and I can't remember what else. It was their first cruise and they absolutely loved it. I think the little things make a big difference (ie- the cabin decorations). Go for it :)

Wow, I'm pretty sure Enchantment's $30 package doesn't come with all that! I believe it's just the decorations although that sounds really nice - what a good daughter you are!!!!! :)

I can't remember how much it was but it made them happy. It's least I could do after putting them through my teen years ;)

My Mom's always wanted to go on a cruise and I know my Dad would never buy one, so I took care of that problem.

Don't think they are worth the $30.00. The streamers hang down and you are always running into them. I would just make a door sign on the computer, tape it to the door. Or buy something at Walmart or whereever for a couple of bucks and hang it up, and spend the rest of the $$ on the trip.

I did them for my husband's birthday on the Empress in May. Frankly, I thought it was worth it for the "Surprize" factor alone. We left them up all week, just rearranged some that were in the way.

I've heard of the "Door Decorations" on another thread but don't remember seeing any on my last cruise. Do alot of people do it????
