Rainforest Question

We'll be touring the rainforest in early April. Are there a lot of bugs like mosquitoes, etc that we need to watch out for? Should we wear jeans and jackets or is it OK to just wear our shorts and tanks? Is bug spray a must? Any info would be much appreciated:)

The rainforest has surprisingly few bugs. I personally never use bug spray when hiking there, but some people do. If you plan to go swimming in the waterfall pool, don't wear any until you are done (if you feel you need it).

Wear shorts and T's or tanks. It is cool (about 75' ) but it is humid. You would die in jeans. No jackets needed as long as you are moving around. Wear sturdy shoes with traction and bring water.

Check my blog on the rainforest. There is a "rainforest 101" for lots of basic info, then there are trail descriptions from some of my treks there.
