I have asked this question several times and have not yet seen an answer. We are cruising in an aft balcony on Freedom, Christmas 2018. I had read that there was a soot problem on these balconies. Is that true? Has it been rectified?

We were in 1400 in January. Never saw or felt any soot.

Has anyone stayed in or around GS 1548? If so how was it? I looks like it's forward of the hot tubs and below the Solarium/Spa. I hope it's fairly quiet.

Any pictures or reviews of 7228? I've done numerous searches here, google, and YouTube and haven't found anything.

We would love to see it before our cruise next month. Regardless we will do a video tour and review of the room while we are on board!

Thought I would post these here. These are letters the concierge sent to me when I emailed them to ask about what benefits Ben & Jerry's "Sweet" guests received. This is Promenade Stateroom 6305. They replied and said we will get all of the suite benefits and sent these letters.

Although we didn’t dine in Chops, I looked at the menu specifically for the scallops and they were no longer there. I was so disappointed. We just got off the ship 11/5.

I got scallops twice in Giovanni's in June.

Will be sailing on my first cruise with the Family on 17-Dec. Really excited.

Was looking for information on Excursions.

2 thoughts, being my first cruise should I book through the ship or do it my self. Weighing options between price and safety.

 

Also any excursion recommendations at the following ports,

- Grand Cayman

- Costa Maya

- Cozumel

From my limited experience with that on this ship, that can vary. On my 2015 cruise there were so many members they had 2 events, One for Platinum and Emerald, and the next day another one for Diamond and above! We got to go to both!

Responding to Royal 2464, for this 8 day sailing Top Tier was Day 3 and first formal night was Day 2.
