Prices of Excursions

Recommended Posts

How do you find out now, what the cruise line is charging for certain excursions. Several I can book outside of the cruise but want to make sure I am saving money, if not I would just book with the cruise line - but on Carnival website I can get info on the choices of excursions but not the cost of. Help!

You will find they are cheaper and better if you book them on your own.

Cruiselines excursions and normally 25% - 30% higher than booking them

on your own.

Go to the ports forums and you can find more info on each port.

We have booked 2 shore excursions for Alaska. After doing some research and reading this forum we took the safe option of booking ours with Carnival.

We have booked the White Pass Yukin Route train trip for Skagway and the Misty Fjords Floatplane trip for Ketchikan.

It was more expensive but not a whole lot and after reading these boards we decided the extra dollars is worth it knowing that if there are any delays with these excursions that Carnival will wait for us.

Something that wont happen if you book yourself.

Our 2c worth :)
