question about suite/penthouse seating at shows on Gem

I have seen mentioned that if you have a penthouse or suite that there is either a special seating area or priority seating for the shows, can any one clarify this for me, also what other "perks" do suite passangers get.

TIA

When I was on the Gem last October, there was a reserved seating area for: "Garden Villa, Courtyard Villa, and Owner's Suite passengers". There was no mention of reserved seating for other types of suites on the sign at the entrance to the reserved area.

The reserved area, at least last October, was in the balcony on the left side as one walked into the theater. Perhaps it has changed since then?? I sat there a couple of times early in the cruise before it was designated as "reserved" and I was not overly impressed with the location. It is isolated from the masses, but the view is nothing special.

As far as other "perks" associated with suites, there is some helpful information on another current thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=747282

There is reserved seating on both port and starboard sides for seating. If one of your party is staying in a cabin other than an owners cabin, they can sit in that area, just by mentioning they are with your group.:)

The VIP seating area for the shows is only for Garden Villa Suites, Owner's Suites, Deluxe Owner's Suites and the Courtyard Villa Suites.

We just sailed the week of March 22 - the balcony seating on the left side is still in effect. I agree that they are probably not the best seats in the house, but my family did enjoy being up there.

Some of the other perks for a Courtyard Villa (and above) are priority embarkment/disembarkment, breakfast and/or lunch from Cagney's everyday - you could eat at Cagney's or sit in the Courtyard - menus were on the tables and the Courtyard butler (Gilberto) was always ready to take your order. Priority reservations in all restaurants, bowling, Spa, etc. - you can make all these arrangments on your very first day with Butler service (Karan) and concierge (Lisa Meyer) who both treated us way above any expectations we had of them.

I can't think of every item, but if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.:D
