MOONMOUNTAIN Posted September 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Can anyone recommend a private tour of Puerto Vallarta which would include the countyside and a couple of the Tequila Factories, We were looking at the ones offered by the Ship (Diamond Princess 3/05/05) but the explanation is not sufficent enough to determind if it is where we want to go. Somone had mentioned that the ship tour "Off The Beaten Track" went to at least (4) factories but the ship description of this tour does not mention any factories???? We are not interested in a tour with the lunch included we want to see more of the countyside and local history.

We are not interested in a tour with the lunch included we want to see more of the countyside and local history. We took a private tour while in PV that took us to a tequila factory. The name of the factory was Agave Leyva and it is located in Mezcales. It was a great tour of this small family owned and operated distillery. We learned quite a bit about the production of tequila, what to look for and what not to buy. Samples of all types and product for sale (which I sample a little at a time - the other bottles are for the margaritas and more robust drinking.) If this site is on the itinerary, then go there.
