Transfer from ship to Rome

Recommended Posts

We are on the Pacific Princess in June ending in Citavecchia. I noticed that the ship does not list a transfer to Rome on their "tours" options. Does anyone know if they will have that option or not? Should we plan on booking a private ride to Rome after we debark??? Suggestions anyone?

Thanks!

Take the train. Its fast and safe and cost about $10.

Does anyone know how hard it is to take the train from Rome to Civitavecchia with luggage? Also, how readily available are taxi's from the train station to the Cruise ship?

Thanks

For detailed train info, see www.ftroute.com/fco_rom_civ.htm .

Taxis at the station are rare. It is an easy walk to the old fort at the port. From there, the free shuttle bus will take you to your ship.
