I

I have read posts stating that the safes on AOS have key pads. Did you still need an old gift card or credit card?

Okay I clearly do not understand the quote thing but to answer your question all you need to do is decide on a pin number by following the instructions and you have your safe. It's very simple I promise you. There was no need for any kind of cards whatsoever. Hope this helps.

For the AOS, June 15th: I'm trying to figure out which nights are formal (2), smart casual (1) and casual (4):

Sunday - arrival

Monday - at Sea -- formal nights for Captains dinner

Tuesday - Aruba

Wednesday - Curacao

Thursday - at Sea - formal night for Crown & Anchor Dinner

Friday - St. Maarten

Saturday - St. Thomas

Sunday - departure

What night is the smart casual night?

The safes do have key pads. You hit the reset button and then put in your own 4-digit pin to set the combo. Not sure I understand the gift card or credit card question. You do not need to use any card for use of the safe.

Day Six (St. Maarten) was smart casual.

Hey Mchin - Glad To Hear About Your Upcoming Review. Just A Quick Note On The Following. With The 8:30 Departure , Was The Lifeboat Drill After The Main Sitting For Dinner . Also , How Busy Was The Disco During Your Cruise.

The muster drill was at 6:00 p.m. For the first night, main seating is at 6:30 p.m. and late seating is at 9:00 p.m.

Can't answer your question regarding the Disco, didn't get a chance to visit. Sorry....

Can't wait to hear your review either.

Did you spend any time in the casino?

Am working on getting the pics loaded and then will write the review. We spent about an hour in the casino. It was really too smokey in there for us, and we aren't big gamblers.

I was on this cruise with mchin and spent too much time in the casino. Was there a specific question you had about the casino?

What kind of table games do they have? Caribbean Stud, Three Card Poker, Pai Gow?

Did you play any Texas Hold Em? Is it a real table or a video table?

Did you play in the Hold Em tournament?

txskier - yes, we are going to SJU on the 17th...are you going on the aos on 5/18? If so, please join our roll call.

We are traveling in on the 17th too. Won't be able to join the roll call on this one. We have our own small group of 18:eek: to keep track of

I played craps exclusively so I'm not 100% sure on the other tables. I am pretty sure they have Caribbean Stud and Three Card Poker and pretty sure they do NOT have Pai Gow. There were a number of Hold Em tournaments held during the week but I didn't play so I can't tell you what sort of table.

Hi,

We are 19 days away....can't wait.

How was the entertainment and can you tell me who the performers were and what you thought?

Thanks.

The entertainment was okay. We traveled with our three year old DD, so we didn't stay up to see the late night shows. We did see the two Royal Caribbean singers and dancers shows: Can't Stop the Rock and Jackpot. Both were okay, nothing spectacular in my opinion. In addition, we saw the Ice Show, Cool Art, Hot Ice. The other show we saw was Abbacadabra, The Ultimate ABBA Concert. It was the best of all the shows. The performers left the ship in Aruba, but will be back later in the year.

The other acts included two comedians: Don Barnhart and Tony Daro. We saw Tony perform at the farewell show, and he was very funny. Lastly, Scotty Cavanaugh performed a juggling act. He was also part of the farewell show and was okay. We didn't see his first performance the first night of the cruise and were not terribly impressed with his performance during the farewell show.

We are leaving 6/1/08 on AOS for our 25th Wedding Anniversary - Cant Wait - No kids!! I have a couple of questions

1. Do you think its possible to bring a bottle Baccardi Rum on board for our room.

2. What is smart casual night? Is there 2 formals or only one.

3. what was the best shore excursion you went on?
