Laura: Congrats on your upcoming Noordam cruise. I hope you and Sonny enjoy it thoroughly and that his knee gets better quickly - otherwise I can just see you waiting on him hand and foot (big grin!)

We got our docs for the Nov 9 Maasdam cruise and now it is difficult to concentrate on anything else!

Our docs were in a nice leather envelope...only thing missing is our cabin number - we booked a balcony guarantee as did our travel mates. Hope we get adjoining cabins!

Have fun in Europe!

Way to go! I'm counting down myself :) I hope you both have the greatest cruise!

Pete & Cat -

Thank you! We are looking forward to it! I hope you enjoy the Statendam, we loved her - always wanted to do the circle Hawaii... so many cruises to choose from - it's so hard to decide what to do next!

ekerr,

Congrats on the docs. I knew you were cruising soon, but I didn't realize what a great itinerary you were taking. I'm jealous. When you leave we'll be on our cruise. So let me just say now to have a great time, snap many pictures and let us know all about it when you return.

Marc-

Oh you'll hear from me - don't worry! :D I 'll post from the ship as time permits. I hope you have a great time too. I know you've been looking forward to it since we went on our Maasdam cruise back in April - and look, it finally just around the corner!

ekerr19, I am so glad you can finally dance, I am just quoting Heather's dance to show you I am dancing with you. Gee, all this dancing lately must be the reason I finally lost a few more pounds (as of today I am 50.5 pounds off since January)

Enjoy your Dance, Wow it won't be long till you are cruising and bidding fairwell to the Noordam. We hope to sail the New Noordam in her first year.

Lisa-

Thanks so much! Congratulations on your weight loss! That is fantastic! I know how hard it is and that is something to truly be proud of!

We look forward to hearing all about your cruise too!

Congratulations folks!! The feeling of getting my docs is all to fresh in my memory!! Nothing like it that I'd ever experienced!! I had never been so excited about feeling "pleather" in my palms before. I still have them on my dresser near my bed.........and don't know when I'll get around to putting them away.......no hurry!! Probably when I get my next set of documents!! Have fun!! Chef Nancy:)

Chef Nancy-

Thank you! I really enjoyed reading your review of your Zuiderdam cruise! Thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Ekerr19, have a wonderful voyage on the Noordam. We enjoyed her when we sailed on her many, many years ago.
Thanks Doone! We look forward to sailing with you on the Volendam next March too! That will be a blast. :)

Sadly I will not experience the ecstacy that is the Docs Dance. My stupid TA went cheap with DHL and they were not delivered to my house (they say they were - but didn't need a signature). I had to fight with my Agency to make sure they would arrange with HAL for Pier pickup. At first they actually told me to arrive at the Pier with just my ID and everything would be fine (they said it happens all the time)! It wasn't until I called HAL to make sure it was going to be fine that the truth was told - HAL said I needed the DOCs and that my TA was trying to be cheap and not pay the $50pp re-issue charge! Anyway - I got the drama cleared up yesterday (I sail on the 16th~!) finally!

I guess I can do a "at least my docs will be at the pier - and I will be allowed on the ship - instead of being escorted out of the Port - and off to the TAgency to strangle the whole lot of fibbers" dance.

There - I'm doing it right now......not as rewarding as the true Docs Dance I suppose - but I guess I'll never know :(

thatsright-

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. :( It must be frustrating... we have never had our docs get lost, but anymore TA puts them in regular mail as there is usually no one around to sign for them. I guess I should "knock on wood" - hope it doesn't happen in the future.

Thanks Gerry! We will be on the Noordam when you leave - we'll be thinking of you. :)

Sonny had surgery on his elbow this time around - he ripped the bicep tendon clean away last week and had to have it re-attached. He is hopeless without his right arm.

I am waiting on him hand and foot now - so he better recover quickly!

He has a soft cast and according to the surgeon, it will have to remain in place for our trip. He says "no tux" but I think I may have an idea or two. ;)

Boy, EKerr, so much mail to answer!!!:D Well I'm bummed about you all getting the leatherette wallet!!! I wonder how that's decided!!! I'm going to get in touch with my TA and see what they have to say. Maybe it has something to do with how much the cruise costs!!!

You know, good 'ole cutbacks. Doesn't really matter because I just transferred it all over to my nice wallet from last time so I'm just being a big baby:o .

As Shakespeare said, All's Well That Ends Well! WE'll just have to dance with you on the pier!

ROTFL!!!!:D Dave, where did you find that picture??? Hahahahaha! I am cracking up here! That was perfect, absolutely.

Mystery solved about the leatherette case. It was not HAL's fault, but rather a cost savings for our agent (who mails us our tickets). The nice little wallet is on its way as we speak;) .

I've been sworn to secrecy! But the group is the Argarmeles Clog team who have been going for over 25 years, dancing North West Morris in the area around Southport and West Lancashire in England. THe picture is them dancing at Southport pier during their "dance days" in 2002.

Dave....I was laughing my tushy off at your picture!! I then felt compelled to write a little ditty to go with it!! (side note) For anyone who knows me and for anyone who was on the Sept. 27th cruise on the Z, I am a bit zany. So for those of you who do not know me just bear with me!! This is to the tune of Heaven, I'm in Heaven....

Pleather.....Dark blue pleather

When I've got it in my palms it feels so sweet

I have finally got the documents I seek

In my hands and pressed up hard against my cheek!!:D
