Jane1614 Posted May 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Can travel irons be used on board? Do I need a converter plug? My iron has dual voltage switch ...can be used 110 or 240. But it has a regular plug. Is this ok?
Jim Avery Posted May 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Yes, they will work. Power plugs are familiar US type as well as the shaver points. I dont think they want travel irons on board. You might want to check with SeaDream. We take a small steamer. Works fine. Disney Jen can tell you more. Jim.
Rare DisneyJen Posted May 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2008 We don't take a travel steamer or iron with us so I can't be of any help:eek: My philosophy is if I need to steam it or iron it that piece of clothing doesn't go on vacation:p:D:p I agree with Jim ... I would contact SeaDream directly.
HotRoot Posted May 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I always thought irons and ships did not go together because of the fire hazard. I always just have the ship's laundry iron anything that needs it - like men's dress shirts.

Jim Avery Posted May 28, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Have a great trip Jane. If you do a Vatican tour, try to hire Maria. She is well worth it. Stefano at Rome Cabs is a great tour director too. Jim.

Jane1614 Posted June 18, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted June 18, 2008 Hi, We're back! Loved it. About the iron..We used it twice, and it worked fine. The staterooms provide both type of voltage . There was no problem. I'll do a trip report soon.
