robanddiane Posted June 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Just priced a cruise on the grand princess for august 09 to be told that a £63 fuel supplement is now in place from 1st of june. Works out £4.50 per day per person. P&O have also done the same. I know the fuel has rocketed but £63 per person for 2600 passengers on the grand works out qute a lot of money for Princess. hubofhockey Posted June 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2008 It does seem strange that they are charging europeans a higher fuel supplement than they are charging customers on this side of the pond.
CruiseFanUK Posted June 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Was it an agent or Princess themselves that you heard this from?

We had a quote on the 31st of may for the diamond princess sydney to auckland for jan 2010 tried to book it on the 1st of june and the price had gone up over £120 that must have been the fuel surcharge, booked it anyway you only live once and we are allways being ripped off for our fuel in the uk anyway so i am getting used to it.
