Mendenahall glacier shuttle ?

Recommended Posts

We are planning on being dropped off again at the glacier by our

whale watching tour.

As I recall there a public shuttle service you can pay I think $7 PP

to go back to town. I unable to search google to find info on

this shuttle. Do you all know how late the shuttles run?

We were there about three years ago and the shuttle was $5.00 round trip to the glacier. It was the best deal on the whole trip. I plan on using it again in August when we return. Hope it is still there. Karen

It's $7 each way now.

In one of the more recent of the 100's of threads about the shuttle, I think someone said 6:30pm? The MGT website, the only shuttle company with a website, doesn't list times. There's a couple of companies--they're all old school buses with big signs on the side.

Does anyone know how often these shuttles run? How long of a ride from the port to the visitor center is it? Is there usually a line to board them? Thinking of using the shuttle but have to be back on the boat at 3:00 and want to be sure to leave enough time so as not to miss our ship.

Thank you

Thank you

Peak times, they run about every 30 minutes. It's a 20 minute ride. And definately, yes there can be significant returning lines. There is a cab line if needed.
