Monte Carlo to Eze bus question, please ;)

Recommended Posts

Hello CC :p

I’ve been reading the boards trying to find an answer and I’m unable to find one.

Anyone know the Monte Carlo bus station location to take the bus to Eze? Meaning where about in town would it be?

Also where do you purchase tickets for the bus to Eze?

Any information would be greatly appreciated! :)

We haven't been to Monte Carlo before, but will be there in September, and plan to take the bus to Eze also. The information below I found on these boards, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

"Walk North through the garden opp.Casino. Get to busy street with a large Tourist Information office. Here you can get your passport stamped with a souvenir Monaco visa stamp. Also, get a bus schedule while here.

If want to go to Nice/Eze/Villefrance etc on TAM buses, go across street from Tourist Info office and walk up to next street. Once you emerge onto this walk across to the bus stop. #112 goes to Eze Village, then back to same bus stop #112 takes you to Nice. Get off at Gare Routiere = main bus station. Go back to there to return. The #110 goes Nice to Monte Carlo."

Hope someone can confirm this information for you, and us!

Tintown, thank you very much for the information.

I've read that the bus stop is hard to find and some people just gave up looking for it. I'm in hopes it's not too far from the port and we dont miss the bus. I read it runs every 90 minutes.

Hopefully we'll hear from someone that has done this and they can confrim everything.

If not, you could post after your trip, we leave in October :p

Hope you have a wonderful time and find the bus! (laughs)

Thank again,

Suzi

We took the bus from Eze to Monte Carlo and got off at a stop a couple of streets above the casino (I think it was on Blvd. Princess Charlotte) ... it's quite steep between this street and the casino, but there are elevators that you can take to go up to the higher streets. http://www.yourmonaco.com/images/maps/monte_carlo_f.png

On this map, the bus stop would be in the vicinity of #10 ... and matches the description of location in Tintown's post above. http://www.frommers.com/images/destinations/maps/jpg-2006/149_monacoattractions.jpg

Sorry I can't be more precise since we came in on the bus and took a guess as to which stop to get off at ... and the streets are quite a maze. Going back to Villefranche, we took the train, and finding the train station in M.C. was an interesting challenge.

we docked in Villafranche and took the bus to Monaco..worried a bit about finding the stop etc....but with the number of people on the ship there were more than a few of us doing the same thing....when I had doubts I followed the crowd

Forgot to answer this in my earlier post ... on the bus.

When in doubt , go into the nicest hotel in town and ask the concierge. They are happy to help.

We often go into the lobbies of exceptional hotels just to have a look, but at Hotel de Paris next to the Casino in Monte Carlo, security staff won't let you past the front doors if you're not staying there.
