GlendaleCruiser Posted September 21, 2008 #28 Share Posted September 21, 2008 I've eaten at the midnight buffet (overrated) I've had room service (best BLT in the world) I've had each meal in the dining room (1/2 the time) I've had most of the DOD's (yum) I've had a massage and facial in the spa I've danced by myself when the music moved me. I've sung along to my favorite songs. I've bought the pictures. I've almost bought the jewelry (LOL). I've poured champagne into the tower of glasses on a special night. I've taken an excursion in every port. I've swam in the pool and lounged in the hot tub. I've won at Bingo. I've stayed up for the late comedy show (yep-earlier one is funnier) BUT, I've never gone down the slide....................:D LIFE IS SHORT PEOPLE, GET BUSY! ! Jdleong Posted September 21, 2008 #29 Share Posted September 21, 2008 Not going to the piano bar..I have said I wanted to every cruise(10plus) and never make it...maybe the next one..
gargoyle999 Posted September 21, 2008 #30 Share Posted September 21, 2008 Have only been on one cruise and regret not exploring the ship more, that will change. Also, never went to the piano bar or another lounge so want to do that from now on. Going to try the specialty restaurants from now on, did not do that. Don't regret not drinking too much. Got that out of my system in college. :) Did order room service (regret not trying the BLT) , have breakfast in the dining room (would only do that again if can get a table for 2), go to the adult comedy show (wasn't too funny), attend the Captain's Party, went to all the big shows, went to the midnight buffet. So I was able to cross several things off my list! :D
Rare patrice1 Posted September 21, 2008 #31 Share Posted September 21, 2008 Here's my "regrets" list: Not having gone to Karoke - not to sing, but to watch Not having gone to the comic, late or early not played minature golf not gone to "Tea" on sea days So, I guess that's now my "to do" list!:D
The Chandlers Posted September 21, 2008 #32 Share Posted September 21, 2008 Here's my list... - Not making it to the piano bar - Not going down the water slide - Not having breakfast or lunch in the dining room - Not joining the balcony club (will do that for sure this time) - Only taking the stairs down, not up I have a lot to do...good thing I am going on another cruise in November! GrammyJill Posted September 21, 2008 #33 Share Posted September 21, 2008 On Holiday I regret not getting my kids there own room. Those rooms really are too small for 4 people. On Enchantment of the Seas this month I regret not doing the bungee trampoline. It was kinda choppy that day & I was afraid I'd turn green! When we went on our last cruise on RCCL we knew we were going on Carnival Glory for our next journey, I regret the fact I couldn't book my next cruise for that $200 OBC! I also regret spending so much time worrying beforehand about how much money we were going to spend. Afraid we wouldn't have enough money. We didn't spend anywhere near as much as I thought. IT WAS GREAT!
farler05 Posted September 21, 2008 #34 Share Posted September 21, 2008 I regret getting off the ship on the last day. ;) OK, seriously, no regrets. We've been very happy with each of our cruises & I don't feel like I missed anything. So no regrets.
cathyoo Posted September 21, 2008 #35 Share Posted September 21, 2008 yeah, I regret that I didn't stowaway. I regret I didn't marry a rich man so I could cruise a few times each year. Dh regrets he didn't marry a rich woman for the same reason.
TennisLover Posted September 21, 2008 #36 Share Posted September 21, 2008 My only regret is that I didn't go on my first cruise till I was 40. I did regret not going down the waterslide on my first few Carnival cruises... but I did it on my last cruise (Destiny out of San Juan -- spent a day at the pool with my allowed-to-bring-on-board alcohol boosting the DOTDs and with a younger couple I met -- they got me on the water slide not once, but twice -- it was AWESOME!!) Remember, no one is looking at you! Sing in the piano bar, get on stage at karaoke, go down the waterslide! Enjoy your vacation! You never know when you can do it again! nanuak Posted September 21, 2008 #37 Share Posted September 21, 2008 On our last cruise, I regret... not getting in the pool/jacuzzi not going down the slide not going to any shows not seeing any of the fun (in person) shown on reel played over & over in our room. Not going to Karaoke, piano bar, or jazz group We will be joining in the fun, and making up for our lack of experience :D, on our November cruise...... Catrin Posted September 21, 2008 #38 Share Posted September 21, 2008 For Everything I did not do... or regret not doing.... I have a great memory from something I DID Do!! There are only 24 hours in a day.... and there is NO WAY to do it all on a cruise.... That is why we go again and again! But.. for my list.... I have never been to a late night comedy show..... I haven't had breakfast in the dining room since I started bringing the kids.... Regret not seeing the Gala Buffet (since the first one) - since I hear this is a thing of the past I have never gone to afternoon Tea - always miss it.... and .. I have never ordered Pastry and Tea in the mornings.... I told myself I woudl do it this cruise and sit out in the balcony in the mornings! King you know you don't regret it. after all you see the pool and food on the lido once you seen it a million times. 1 hour on the next cruise hahahhaaha.:)
Peddler&Tass Posted September 21, 2008 #40 Share Posted September 21, 2008 Look at it this way; All the regrets are only reasons to cruise again. Later Jim

valancy1 Posted September 22, 2008 #42 Share Posted September 22, 2008 What are some things that you wanted to do on your cruise but didn't end up doing and will make sure you do them on your next cruise? 1. Going down the slide 2. Going to the piano bar 3. Going to the Mardi Gras party We just had so many activities that by the time some of this came around we were either already doing something else or we were exhausted! :)
colz85 Posted September 22, 2008 #43 Share Posted September 22, 2008 I too keep having that "I've been on the ship for a week and didn't....." dream. For me it's usually sit by the pool. We've never done a show Or a late night buffet or room service
cruising_family Posted September 22, 2008 #44 Share Posted September 22, 2008 Never took a moonlight stroll on deck on either cruise we were on. The second cruise was in Alaska so it would be a midnight stroll and we were way too tired from the time change though we did have a cabin we could have some alone time on. Didn't have a romantic dinner in the cabin as we wanted. Way too busy. Not going in the hottub/pool. Our next cruise I plan on making a point of doing both plus a whole lot more. I've decided I want a cruise with more sea days so it will be more time to relax.

basill1970f Posted September 22, 2008 #47 Share Posted September 22, 2008 no worries in my opinion on missing the chocolate buffet.. Whatever chocolate they used it sure wasnt hersheys ;) For all of you missed the waterslide folks. I was able to manage to haul my body up the 4 levels to the waterslide a few times. My recommendation to you all is to use the waterslide while docked at one of the ports. There is hardly a line and no one has to see you cough/choke on the salt water at the end ;) The rules state to lay down, but if you want to keep that salt to a minimum sit up and you will slow down some and not make such a splash at the end. I regret not having more sun because of IKE... ;) I regret not getting to midnight comedy at 9pm so I could get a seat. I regret going to the room around 7pm for a break before the show and then not having the ambition to open the door back up!!! Wishing you all happy sailing.. but please do try the waterslide at least once.
Toni12345 Posted September 23, 2008 #48 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Well I must say I missed the first few nights of shows due to my 18 month old son being tired:( missed the gala buffet and I am still upset. I didn't use the slide.Kids did though. I reget the pounds I gained eatting and eatting. Trying to loose them now before the free cruise in Aug. Don't regret playing BINGO.
