38anchor Posted September 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2008 My mum is taking a weeks cruise on Independence in December. She is traveling with my nan, and my sister. After noticing a Senior Citizen rate she has just changed her cabin from D1 to a JS on Deck 10 Aft. Now I have read all the positives of being in a JS (closet, bath etc) and also being on the Aft (larger balcony etc) but I am just wondering if we should have any concerns being directly under the Windjammer. Is there likely to be much noise. I know it will probably be closed by the time they go to bed, but I was just worried about clearing up at night, breakfast, chairs scraping etc. Anyone got any thoughts? Its cabin 1706 BTW. cb at sea Posted September 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2008 You shouldn't have noise issues--the ceiling of your cabins is NOT the floor of the deck above! If you should hear something, it won't be sleep disturbing.
trolleydolly Posted September 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2008 We had a D1 1700 on Deck 10 aft (just a couple of cabins along from your JS) and didnt hear any noise whatsoever from above. Enjoy your cruise:)
