auntdot Posted October 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2008 Hi, Has anyone just returned from the Mediterranean on the Grand? We heard rumblings about power and propulsion issues?? Wondered what that might be all about. Thanks for any info! Dot

High C's Posted October 6, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2008 We disembarked yesterday. I am not aware of any such issues. We made it to all ports as scheduled, and no issues with power on board that was evident. I will be doing a fully review once I am back on my feet and unpacked! Carolina Cruisr Posted October 6, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2008 We were on the September 11 sailing of the Med and she lost power twice. The 1st time was very short, the 2nd was maybe and hour to hour and a half. We were in the Explorers Lounge and the lack of air conditioning made it a little uncomfortable. It really did not affect our trip at all. I guess I am glad I was not one of the folks in the elevators. To put it into perspective for you. This was one one of the best trips we have been on. We have travelled quite a bit and have learned to go with the flow. Happy Sailing!
julieh Posted October 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2008 We were on the Grand 23rd Sept until 05th October and had no problems at all. It was one of the best cruises we have done and the itinerary was wonderfull. Ship was lovely and the crew great. Julie
