Steves, thank you so much for referring this article. It is indeed very informative, and explains why Bonaire is an exceptional place for snorkling and diving. Also, the lack of glitz, vendors, and big hotels means it stays very unspoiled. I'm kind of sorry the writer did not stay at the Divi Divi Hotel - I think they would have been more accommodating to his desire to learn. I have very fond memories of the Divi Divi and the island, although I have not been back for at least 20 plus years.

 

I am going to be there in December with a group on the Silver Whisper, Silver Sea cruiseline, and am really, really looking forward to it. According to the article, I can expect not many changes - thats a good thing.....

Thanks again for posting that article. I agree with the other poster that the writer would have had a better time if they had stayed at the Divi Divi.
