Statendam - Pinnacle Grill Lunch Menu

Krazy Kruizers

Recommended Posts

As I mentioned the Statendam started something new - it could be on the other ships by now.

Lunch is offered at $10 per person and since it was just intrduced on this ship, a complimentary glass of champagne wa served with the entree. The menu is the same everyday. The first couple of days we noticed 1 man eating alone. Some days there wasn't anyone there. The one day we ate there (not the special wine luncheon) we were the only ones there.

Menu:

Appetizers: Grilled Prawn Bruschetta; Mediterranean Antipasto Plate; Scallops Creme Brulee; Northwest Five Onion Soup; Chilled Carrot & Ginger Soup; Chiffanade of Greens & Tomato Tower Salad

Entrees: Alaskan Halibut Sandwich; Pacific Rum Beef Salad; Penne with Lemon basil Sauce and Grilled Chicken Breast; Crab & Shrimp Cake; The Pinnacle Burger; Sterling Beef Tenderloin with Oregon Blue Cheese Crust; Vegetarian Couscous

Dessert: Fresh Strawberries with Raspberry Sorbet; Chocolate Brownie Decadence; Ice Creams and Sorbets; Fruit Plate

Thanks for posting the menu. Sounds good but an awful lot of food for lunch, for us at least. It would be a waste as if I ate that at lunch, I wouldn't have any appetite for dinner.

Sorry it didn't seem to be very popular but give them credit for trying.

They had just started the Pinnacle luncheons on Amsterdam in September.

Althought I didn't attend for lunch, I spoke w/ one of our servers from our dinner there and her co-worker who was quite candid - she wasn't too pleased about having to work lunch too...

She did share tales of working on Noordam and old Nieuw Amsterdam as they aged & of the smell of diesel in the crew quarters and water leaks - even in the passenger cabins. She told us tales of removing all furniture, etc. in order to change wet carpets in entire staterooms while the current occupants were out for the day on a shore excursion - the occupants would return never the wiser...
