Carnival Military Discount

Does anyone know the military discount code? We booked the cruise with the discount over the phone, and after checking on adding a second cabin at that rate a week or so ago, it was about $40 cheaper per person than what we paid. Of course, on these boards we've not learned that that $40 per person could be refunded as shipboard credit. is there any way to keep track of the military rates online with a code? The ones that are on our booking info say invalid when they're entered.

Thanks!

It is very difficult to keep track of military prices. I don't remember the code - it's in one of the old news releases. Not sure it works any more. I did find that even given the military rate through Carnival I still got a BETTER military rate going through one of the online agencies. Since the price of my cruise continues to go up ($600 more than I booked it at) I don't think I'm going to be seeing any shipboard credit or refunds.

You will probably have to call Carnival directly and check the prices.

We booked through Carnival using the military rate. We had the opposite happen where we got a cheaper rate using the discount with them versus an online agency. We had to fax a copy (front only) of my husband's military ID in order for them to apply the discount. They said it is for verification.

We are Canadian military( acitve).I know from experience that most Interline Company's will honor American military. The only cruise line I know of that WILL NOT honor Canadian Military is Carnival it self but the affiliated company's such as HAL will.Go figure. We have got some awsome deal for our first ( RCCL to alaska) and second cruises Paradise to Western caribbean( there is ways around the No canadian military clause. But lately we find that we get a better deal as a past cruiser with Carnival's office.

I got a military rate with the online agent - they discounted it more than Carnival.

Thanks for the info. We booked through Carnival this time because it's our first cruise and also because my husband is currently deployed and we needed to have more flexibility as far as being able to reschedule the cruise if his return date changed. Do you find that it's harder to reschedule things with the online agents if you've already paid in full?

I have found one online agency that gives you the option of choosing a military discount when pricing a "cruise". You can do a search of different "cruise"s and see if a military discount is offered and how much it is. It is a one word dot com. Hope this helps.
