Anchorage to Whittier with Princess

Hi Guys,

 

I hope you can help me. I have a 14 night Classic Alaska landtour and cruise booked with Princess that Departs London on 23rd May 2009, landtour first, then cruise. On the day we begin the cruise we transfer from Anchorage to Whittier by coach. After checking out the itinerary it looks like we spend 5 hours on the coach sightseeing before we get to Whittier. This means we don't arrive until 2pm and are too late for any of the Prince William Sound tours.

 

Is anyone else doing this landtour and cruise and have found themselves in the same situation? Is there anything we can do about this? Are we able to get independent transport to Whittier to arrive earlier and take a tour or are we unable to do anything about this?

 

I haven't phoned Princess yet to enquire, you guys seem to give so much advice I thought I'd check out the boards first.

Just exit the cruisetour and get your own transportation to Whittier. There are independent buses and the Alaska RR. listings http://www.anchorage.net

 

There izs no point in contacting Princess, they aren't going to give you any other options.
