thymcruisers Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Just heard through a casual acquaintance that her sons just got off Carnival cruise last Sunday in Miami and they were disappointed at how Carnival has "cut" several amenities! She said that her sons were charged for pizza and for hamburgers, hot dogs, and FF at the outside Lido deck buffet!! She also said that the charge "was not much - but was not free"! Also, no lobster on Formal Evening - just Prime Rib!! ANYONE ELSE HEARD OF THESE CHANGES - we have cruise coming up on March 30th and we love the free pizza, free burgers and fries and LOBSTER!! TheVegasMan Posted February 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Sounds like someone is pulling your leg. All those things were free on our December cruise. There was lobster on the elegant dining nights. I'm pretty sure Filet Mignon was offered as well. The only food they charged extra for was the premium coffees, ice cream and supper club. cat26 Posted February 17, 2009 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2009 They did not do it on the Miracle in January. Lots of lobster served and everything on the Lido was included.

Cruise, J.D. Posted February 17, 2009 #15 Share Posted February 17, 2009 I hear this kind of crap all the time. People confuse cruise lines, policies, charges, etc. Whenever I hear someone start talking about what to expect "on a cruise" as if cruise lines are all the same, I just chuckle to myself. RVman Posted February 17, 2009 #16 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Not true, we were on the Legend last month and we had all that you mentioned for no additional price. Sounds like her boys spent the money elsewhere and thought that one up. :)
stlrboo Posted February 17, 2009 #17 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Hope the DS doesn't 'try that on me' this coming June.. 'Course DW and I just got off the Freedom in December, so we know better.. Kinda' a 'smooth' idea tho' to get a few extra bucks for the arcade..:) Wonder how they think of those things..;)
Uncle Doug Posted February 17, 2009 #18 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Or buy some sodas, smoothies or something like this? About the only thing kids could spend cash on would be the game room. Everything else, soda's or treats from the formality shop would go on their Sail & Sign.
