Serenade of the Seas and the Pitons

On the Jan 10/09 cruise, after Serenade left the St. Lucia dock at 5:00 p.m., she cruised down the coast of St. Lucia on the way to Barbados, and we could see the Pitons in the distance. However, the light was failing (sunset was at 5:55), and the scenery was shrouded in darkness shortly thereafter (dusk is short in the tropics).

Sunset is now about 6:10 p.m., so the Pitons should be visible for a bit longer, but still will be lost in darkness by the time the first course is served at the early seating.
