2boyzmom Posted February 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Just wondering if this is a toddler area or ok for older kids. Is there a pool slide appropriate for 8-10 year olds?
JMB123 Posted February 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2009 It's a few small pools in one area and is definitely suitable for 8-10 year olds. One of the pools would be for just toddlers, but the others would be fine.
NoPiratesPlease Posted February 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2009 The kids' pool is a the stern on both the Dawn and the Star. They are GREAT kids' pools, about a thousand times better than the cheap compromises on the Jewel-class that's not even in the sun. The Dawn and Star have multiple slides and multiple pools, a water guns, too. The Dawn is all dinosaurs, and the Star is all space ships, but DESPITE that they are about the same. Arwenmark Posted February 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Toddler must be potty trained no swim diapers, or any diapers, are allowed in the pool if they are not trained then you can bring a tiny blow up pool and fill it with water. All this is covered well in the Family cruising forum here.

mkad1109 Posted February 21, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2009 My kids were 12, 10, 8 and 7 at the time of our Dawn sailing and they all, unequivocally LOVED the TREX pool. It is right near the gym, so I was able to let them play while I worked out and occassionally checked on them. Yours will really enjoy it!
CanadianTwosome Posted February 21, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2009 If it's like the Star's kid's pool, there is also a lifeguard... at least that's what I assumed the staff member was. He was sitting in a little alcove and I didn't even notice him at first, but there was no mistaking that he was there to supervise the pool. :)
