Jack's Shack is open

Went to Grand Turk on the Crown Princess on Friday and Jack's Shack was open.

Talked to the woman behind the bar about the talk on cruisecritics being closed and

she said it has always been open. Very nice beach, better than where the ship docks.

Hardly any rocks. And the drinks are very strong at $6 apiece.

Thank you for that update. After reading about how great it was at Jacks Shack I was so interested in finding him and hanging out for a while there then read that they were closed. So it's great to know that this is something we can still do on our upcoming cruise in May. Thank you!

Our last name is Shack (spelt differently) but we will have to stop there just for the name sake. We will be there on the Crown Princess April 10th! Should we be buying water shoes due to the rocks in the water? Thanks.

We just finished the eastern cruise on Crown Princess, back in port on March 1, and had a great cruise. :) Jack's on Grand Truk, is on the same side as Jimmys Marg'ville. You can see the diver flag waving at Jack's Shack from the Cruise Center. Drinks and food is great, as are the staff. :p There is rental equipment for snorkling and plenty of chairs/lounges for sunning. We had the best day of our cruise here because of the water, weather, and locals. :D We had talked about going on the tour to the lighthouse, but by drink two it was a passing thought. We agreed to another splash in the ocean in front of Jack's instead. It was the right call.;)

Enjoy,

Ditto!! We were on the crown the week after you and found Jack and Janet to be wonderful hosts.
